I thought I was going to have to go to London this week, to meet with my agent to talk about Sunlight on Broken Glass, but a very long phone call sufficed, so I don't have to go now.
I'm going to have to do more work on 'Sunlight' to suit the current market. It will go out again at the beginning of January. My agent has given me some great advice and a massive injection of confidence, so I don't feel too despondent.
I can wait. I am patient. And more than anything, I'm still in there with a chance of publication - it's just that it won't be this week.

That's a great attitude, Annie. You obviously pleased your agent and the publisher with the reworking of the original longer saga. Sending you lots of lucky dust for the extra work on 'Sunlight' - methinks you're in for an exciting 2009!
That's good news Annie. The weeks leading up to C*&^%$$mas are supposed to be the worst time for new deals aren't they. January sounds good and gives you time to tweak. Your agent knows what is wanted and more than that, knows that you can do it.
(does this still mean early mornings??)
Slowly, but surely you are getting there. We'll all be cheering you on x
I agree, I think 2009 is going to be your year. So exciting.
It will be worth the wait Annie. TFx
I'd say come and join me on the waiting couch but you're one step ahead of me. Still, come and join me and keep another council girl company!
It all sounds good though Annie and Lane is right, everything slows down in publishing in December. Looks like it will be good news for the New Year, well done x
I'm sure your patience will pay off, Annie. Just think how long it would take to get three books published separately. Now you're going to get all three done at once! Well, nearly at once.
